Carmen’s
A poem by our friend Robert Blandford
If you’re driving in Rockville in search of a treat. Then, drop by the Carmen’s that’s on Nelson street. It’s the best place to go for some great Italian ice. You also will find that the staff is quite nice.
It’s easy to find and it’s right on your way. You’ll find it next door to the Hard Times Café. You can stand up and chat, or go have a seat. The dining room area looks really neat. There’s a cleaners next door with a clerk who’s a honey. And a bank on the corner to hold all your money.
There’s also a place that will polish your nails. And a few other stores that the plaza entails. But Carmen’s is right in the center of all. The place you would go for a “short” or a “tall”. Their custard and yogurt is made in the store. With such a great taste, you’ll be asking for more
There’s always a newspaper there for your reading. And someone to serve you for what you are needing. The pastries you buy will be served with a smile. You’re welcome to come in and sit for a while
So try a gelati, a smoothie, or shake. There’s nothing refreshing that Jason can’t make. Come and indulge at my favorite spot. It’s the best place to be when you’re thirsty and hot.
The freshest ingredients will always be used. You may hear a joke and be slightly amused. They’ll give you a sample that won’t cost a dime. There’re all kinds of flavors, like cherry or lime
He also has coffee, the best brew around. The best you will find in the whole, doggoned town
Just take a sip and you might do the Polka. But his best drink of all is the Jersey Shore Mocha
They’ll spruce up your party; they cater for hire. And give all your guests all the things they desire. They also will cater a corporate function. Just give them directions, and name of the junction
So, come one come all, you’ll be highly impressed. It really won’t matter, the way you are dressed. Carmen’s is noted for having the knack. Once you have been there, you’ll always come back.
